Acer trees have become incredibly popular due to their beauty, range, interesting varieties and intense golden red colours during the autumn - giving great pleasure and joy to all that see them.
They are a love and pasion to us and for this reason we decided to call our garedning business ACERGARDEN but of course we look after, tend and maintain all types of gardens.
There are approximately 125 species, most of which are native to Asia with a number also appearing in Europe, northern Africa, and North America.
The word Acer is derived from a latin word meaning "sharp", referring to the characteristic points on maple leaves. It was first applied to the genus by the botanist Joseph Pitton deTournefort in 1700 - read more about Acers here.
